Know who you
are lending to.
A 3-tonne excavator leaves your yard on the strength of a name and a phone number. PlantHire OS collects photo ID and a proof of address before the machine moves, checks both for the obvious signs of tampering, and puts a clear verdict in front of your desk.
Metadata checks
We read the file the way a forensic examiner would open it: who produced it, when, and whether it was re-saved after export. A council tax bill that came out of Photoshop gets flagged straight away.
Text matching
We pull the text off the document — with OCR when it is a photo or a scan — and check the name and postcode actually match the account. A mismatch goes to you rather than through.
A clear verdict
Every document comes back green, amber or red with the reasons listed. Amber means someone at the yard takes ten seconds to look. Nothing is approved or refused behind your back.
Stored properly
Documents go to private storage, never a public URL, and are only ever shown to your own staff. Each file is fingerprinted so you can spot the same bill submitted by two different people.
What this is, and what it is not
It does
- Catch documents edited in design or photo software
- Catch a bill that does not carry the customer's name or postcode
- Spot the same file submitted twice under different names
- Hold a hire until a person at your yard has signed it off
It does not
- Check a licence against the DVLA
- Run a credit check or pull Companies House records
- Perform biometric or liveness matching
- Replace your own judgement on a customer you do not know
We would rather tell you where the line is than let you find out during a claim. If you need DVLA or credit-bureau checks, we can point you at providers who are licensed for it.
